Two Harford County sheriff’s deputies have died following a shootinglate Wednesday morning inAbingdon, Md.
According to the Baltimore Sun,two sheriff’s deputies were shot and killed inside and near a Panera restaurant. The suspect, 67-year-oldDavid Brian Evans, was shot and killed nearby by responding deputies.
SheriffJeffrey Gahler said at a press conference that he believesthe deputy at Panera was targeted, saying “the suspect took that action because he was in a police uniform. He was certainly targeting them.” The Baltimore Sun reported one patron as saying that she and her daughter“saw a guy who looked like he’s homeless, disheveled. She said hes seen him in there before.To her, it looked like the cop was talking to the man and then shooting started.”
