An FBI agent fatally shot a suspect in Orlando overnight and media reports suggest a connection to the Boston Marathon bombings. The man who was shot has been named as Ibragim Todashev by his friend, Khusn Taramiv. Taramiv says Todashev was from Chechnya, knew Tamerlan Tsarnaev through MMA fighting and was being investigated in connection with the Boston bombings.
Taramiv claims he and Todashev were interviewed by the FBI for nearly three hours on Tuesday.
“(The FBI) took me and my friend, the suspect that got killed. They were talking to us, both of us, right? And they said they need him for a little more, for a couple more hours, and I left, and they told me they’re going to bring him back. They never brought him back,” Taramiv said.
Taramiv said Todashev had planned to fly back to Chechnya last night.
